About shadow-planner

shadow-planner is a desktop project-planning app for Windows, macOS and Linux that combines a real Gantt chart, resource utilization and portfolio tool with an AI planning agent. You paste a project brief and the agent drafts epics, tasks, owners and a timeline as a proposal that is only committed to the plan once you approve it. After that you manage the plan in chat — asking who is overbooked, pushing a launch, re-baselining an epic or rebalancing workload — and every destructive change is shown as a diff that needs approval. The assistant runs on a local Ollama model by default (qwen2.5:7b, fully offline) or on your own Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter key, while all data stays in a single local SQLite file with no telemetry or account. It supports side-by-side scenarios, dependency-aware drag-to-reschedule, audit logs, undo, and exports to PNG, TIFF, Mermaid and MS Project XML.
