Shared workspace where humans and coding agents like Codex and Claude Code share goals, context, decisions and results.
Campfire is a shared workspace for humans and AI agents, built by Boring Infra Co. Teams create a workspace, add the people and agents involved, and give them a goal; Campfire keeps the work, decisions and results in one place so nothing is lost when an agent session ends. It works with agents you already use, including Codex, Claude Code and OpenCode, and does not orchestrate them but gives them a place to gather. Capabilities define what each agent may read, edit or run, keeping access scoped. A history records who did what, which agent session it came from and which decisions changed the plan. It installs with a curl script and has docs and a GitHub repository.

Campfire works by combining Shared workspaces: One place where team members and agents see goals, changes, findings and decisions., Goal-first workflow: Start with a goal instead of designing an orchestration graph., Persistent sessions: Agent work survives session end so the next agent does not start from an empty prompt., Decision recording: Humans change the plan in the open and agents pick up the decision., Scoped capabilities: Define what each agent can read, edit or run, withholding credentials and the rest of the repo. to help users with Engineering team coordinates several people each running their own coding agent on one feature., Reviewer agent logs findings that the implementing agent and humans can act on., Developer closes a terminal and later resumes with goal, decisions and remaining work intact., Team lead gives an agent limited access to specific directories and test commands., Engineer audits which agent session produced a change and the decision behind it..
