About Mermaid
Mermaid is an AI agent that runs on your Mac and is controlled from your phone, so you can ask for something from anywhere and have it done in your own apps. It uses the apps already on the Mac, such as Safari, Chrome, Notes, Mail, Messages, VS Code, WhatsApp, Finder and Claude, with no per-app setup. It checks the result and shows you when the work is done. Before consequential actions such as sending a message or deleting files it asks for approval on your phone, and Live Screen and Take Over let you watch or step in. It requires a Mac running macOS 14 or later and an iPhone on iOS 17 or later, and is free during beta.
