Open-source TypeScript agent harness framework for building autonomous agents and AI workflows.
Flue is an open-source TypeScript framework — described as an agent harness rather than another SDK — for building autonomous agents and AI workflows. It gives any model the context and environment needed for autonomous work: sessions, tools, skills, instructions, filesystem access, and a secure sandbox to run in. Developers can build agents that keep context across conversations and events, run structured workflows where code guides agent reasoning, and define specialized subagents that delegate work to the right expert. Flue includes durable execution so agents preserve progress through failures and restarts, typed tools for calling APIs and querying data, and MCP server support to connect agents to authenticated tools via the Model Context Protocol. Agents can run locally via CLI or be deployed to a hosted runtime, with observability through OpenTelemetry and Braintrust.
