Trama is a macOS app that builds native automations from a sentence of plain English instead of a visual flow builder. You press Cmd+Option+X from any app, describe what you repeat — "every Friday at 5pm summarise what I did this week and send it to my manager on Slack" — and Trama reads the intent, assembles the steps, and shows them back to you in readable language so you can question or change anything before enabling it. Because it runs as a lightweight background process on your Mac rather than in the cloud, it can reach AppleScript, shell scripts, OCR and screen awareness, which cloud automation tools cannot touch. Automations fire on clipboard, screenshot, schedule or keyboard-shortcut triggers, and when one breaks the AI reads the error, explains it in plain English and offers a one-tap fix. Trama also watches what you copy, open and repeat, and after a few occurrences suggests automations you did not know to ask for. You can bring your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini or Groq key so AI calls go straight from your Mac to the provider.
