Clockwork is a macOS scheduler for coding agents. You book Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode or Hermes Agent the way you would book a meeting: pick an agent profile, a repository, a dollar budget and a time, as a one-off, a recurrence or a webhook-fired job, and optionally chain a second agent to run after the first. Each run happens inside a macOS Seatbelt sandbox around a fresh git worktree and branch cut from your base branch, so your checkout is never touched and writes outside the worktree are denied; SSH keys, cloud credentials, GnuPG and shell history are unreadable to the run. A supervisor outside the model enforces a dollar cap, a turn cap and a wall-clock timeout, and risky actions pause the run to ask you — silence for about two minutes counts as a no. Every run files the same document: what it did and skipped, the branch and diffstat, cost against caps, every approval, and a searchable transcript with credentials masked. Thirteen specialist agents ship with it, from Dep Surgeon to Security Auditor, and you can author your own. Everything runs locally: SQLite in one folder, an API bound to loopback, no account and no telemetry.

Clockwork works by combining Calendar-style booking: Schedule an agent against a repository with a profile, budget and time, one-off or recurring, Real recurrence: RRULE or cron expanded in your own IANA time zone, with daylight-saving handling and missed-run policies, Sandboxed runs: Each job executes in a macOS Seatbelt profile around a fresh git worktree, or an ephemeral Docker container with no network by default, Credential deny-list: Files under .ssh, .aws and .gnupg plus shell history are unreadable from inside a run, Enforced budgets: A dollar cap, turn cap and wall-clock timeout applied by a supervisor outside the model to help users with A developer schedules dependency patch bumps to run overnight and reviews a diff in the morning instead of a scrollback, A team runs a weekly repo health digest that reports stale branches, drift and advisories every Monday at 07:00, An engineer chains a scan, a fix, a test run and a pull request so each stage receives the previous stage's report, A maintainer caps an experimental agent at a fixed dollar amount so a runaway loop cannot exceed the budget, A CI failure fires a webhook that launches the CI Investigator agent to decide whether it is a flake or a real regression.
