Powabase is a multi-tenant AI Backend-as-a-Service that combines a Supabase-style BaaS (Postgres, auth, storage, realtime) with a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipeline, agent runtime, orchestration and workflow surfaces. Documents are extracted, embedded (pgvector) and indexed on upload, and agents can call external tools over plain HTTP or the MCP protocol. The platform exposes its distinctive AI surfaces as simple HTTP endpoints under /api/, integrates with existing Supabase client libraries, and can be self-hosted or used as a hosted service. Its unique value is providing a single REST API that replaces a typical AI stack (vector DB, agent framework, workflow engine) alongside a familiar Postgres-backed backend.
